Making a passport photo template?

    Anyone any suggestions how to make a template for passport photos in GIMP so I can print my own?

    Not quite sure, but I've seen they print passport photos on photobox.ie
    I'm sure they have guidelines in there.

    I got a programme for converting my photos to passport size with my H.P scanner
    Check out there web site for a download

    passport photos are 45mm x 35mm

    so if you're printing on 6x4 paper at 300ppi
    make an image that is: 1200 x 1800

    then, get the image you want, resize it to 450pixels x 560pixels

    (note you face should take up between 70-80% of this image

    paste the 450 x 560 images onto the larger 1200 x 1800 image

    print this at 6x4 and you'll get perfectly sized passport photos


    this info is based on my knowledge of working as a digital photographer, fuji minilab operator and someone who takes at least 5 passport photos every day in work
