    hey ladies and gents,

Listen i have a strange problem, i bought a laptop recently (Dell Latitude D610) and i never got a bag with it as my sis had one allready from her laptop (which is the same model) that she never uses and she said i could have it. its this one as far as i can tell

    http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/ProductDetail.aspx?sku=460-10103&c=ie&l=en&cs=iedhs1&category_id=5490&first=true&page=productlisting.aspx

but here's the problem, i carry my laptop from and too college, its about a 20 min walk, and most times when i get to where ever im goin and i open my laptop bag the cd drive has opened, now i turn of my computer when i put it in and i put the computer in with the screen facing out of the bag, i.e. the base of the computer is against the rear wall of the bag, i carry the bag with the shoulder strap usually on my left hand side (maybe a bit to much info given but i dont know whats revelent:D ) so can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? or how is this happenin, its a brand new bag o it cant be worn and i checked the inside spacers and there not torn or broken. The cd drive in the laptop is a Philips CD drive.

    Anyone got any idea's?
    cheers

    Philip

some laptop drives can be open mechanically, ie the laptop does not need to be on.

this is what could be happening.

in my toshiba i need to put a pin in a little hole to be able to open the drive without power, maybe the drive on your dell is just openign from the shock of it banging on the side of the bag.

make sure the bag does not swing while you walk and don't walk too fast.

if i were i would get a laptop backpack
