    Ohhhh.. voting time - excellent!

    Christian Bale here - impressed me immensely in both 'Batman Begins' and 'The Machinist'... very different roles but both played close to perfection

    Bruno Ganz was excellent in Downfall, but it has to go to Christian Bale for me. Not only for his fine performances in both The Machinist and Downfall, but the sacrifices he made. He put his body through hell to make his character look complete for The Machinist, and had to work hard to get back into shape for Batman.
