    But i'm just saying was there really a need to specify Series 1? Not like we'd think it'd be the madcap adventures of series 12 or the balls-out comedy stylings of Series 3!

    The movies set 6 months after the TV show ended. There are comics (3 in total) that are little fillers on some of the goings on.

    As for series 8 being raunchy... series 7 was much more, space whores galore! I say!

    I'm surprised no one's mentioned season 5 yet - filmed entirely in black and white and with French subtitles.

    Season 7 was indeed raunchy but by season 8 I was getting sick of the sexbots. Whedon is clearly obsessed.

    Even the most simple questions can have complex answers... not this one though! :D

    PS - only started watching after the cancellation (just last Summer actually)... but i'm still very weird!
