Just got this e-mail from them requiring...

"In order to comply with credit and debit card regulations, we need to verify
your identity. To allow us process this and subsequent orders please post or fax
(details below) copies of 2 of the following documents.

1 - Bank statement showing address and within last 3 months.
2 - Credit card statement showing address and within last 3 months.
3 - Utlity bill showing address and within last 3 months .
    4 - Driving licence."

It be fine if this was my first time ordering from them but in the past few years i would have spent a few K with them. Im glad there been secure in all but its not like i have moved address and have order allot from them in the past.

    Any ways rant over :)

They seem to be doing this with every first order on a credit card..

I got the exact same jazz this morning and just faxed over the stuff they wanted.. The order shipped just after lunch..

Checked my Credit card last night. And the funny thing is that overclockers have taking my money but wont post what i have paid for until i supply them with the information they need.

At least they tell me in there e-mail if i dont forward the information there looking for in the next 7days they will cancel my order. I hope there as quick as giving my money back as they were in taking it!!

Eh, no. it will take 3-5 banking days to go back.

This is becoming more and more popular because of the delays in the widespread adoption of verified by visa and mastercard secure code (both pin-based online ordering systems).

    Komplett use VbyV now.

Until then they'll want everything but the kitchen sink to prove you are who you say your are because online fraud is rampaging.

We do the same in the company I work for.

I dunno seems a lot of sites are doing it nowa days, I ordered a bass guitar from thomann.de and they sent me a similar e mail, thought it was someone trying to rip me off for a while but seems like a few sites are doing it.Still pretty annoying none the less.
