    Hello there,

I have recently installed Sky + in two rooms and am wondering if I subscribe to Setanta Sports whether the channels will be viewable in both.

    Cheers,

    Drico.

If its a proper Multiroom subscription, yes. Each card should mirror each other.

This question has come up a number of times and as far as I know setanta will only give you the package on one viewing card, so if you want it in both rooms you have to pay twice. All part of the scheme of trying to get people to switch to ntl because there you get free setanta in whatever room.

I have Multiroom Subscription and agree with Charlie! It is one room only! It is the Veiwing Card number that counts. You pay per card!

Anything actually part of Sky Packages is multiroom on a mirror.

Any 3rd party subscription probabily not.

What is difference? If you can get by ringing Sky (i.e. Disney) it is probabily on mirror. If you have to ring a different number (some Asian, Porn and obviously Setanta) then it isn't part of Sky package as such, so may not be on mirror.

OTOH, it may be possible to get the 15 Euro Setanta on Sky package of 5 or 6 channels WITHOUT any basic Sky sub, just the FTA channels. Which for some people (if true) would be better value than NTL.

But I think if you want BB, Phone and Digital Pay TV and can get Digital NTL/Chorus cable, then that is best value. You can always add a FTA sat dish too!

A subscription to Prem Plus works on the two boxes, tho...

When I subscribed to Setanta I could only receive it on card I quoted when aplyong, but a quick call to Setanta and I had it on both boxes no problem, with no extra charge.

It didn't used to.. When I got Sky+ & multiroom installed a bit over a year ago I was told I'd have to pay again for the 2nd card. It was only after 15 minutes of arguing with the CS rep that they enabled it on both.

Shortly thereafter though I remember reading here that Sky were now doing this as standard - guess lots of people must've complained.

Many thanks for your informative replies.

One final question for those of you who have subscribed:

Are Setanta 1 and 2 on the Irish EPG the same channels as those in the UK? I ask because I notice that the Sky+ EPG listings list different programmes to the Setanta UK Web site (Feyenoord v. Ajax is not listed on the EPG for Sunday morning when it is on the UK Web site). Basically, do Setanta 1 and 2 show the same European football matches or are they tailored for the Irish audience here?

    Cheers,

    Drico.
