If you get your hands on the lastest copy of the Irish Theatre Handbook that would be a start. You can pick it up in the Irish Theatre Bookshop on Georges Street,Dublin 1.Along the same side as "Verona" and "Acapulco".

Alternatively if you go to the FringeFest homepage you will get tons of info there.

You can volunteer with the Fringe Festival to do lots of work, it could be as simple as taking bookings for tickets or running around trying to sort out stuff for companies who havent gotten their act together yet :p (last year we kept some volunteers very busy) But be warned, some of the work is very demanding and afaik it's completely voluntary and you dont get paid but you may get some good connections with theatre companies. One of the volunteers from Scotland last year is now designing our set for our latest show. You also get to see some shows for free.

Alternatively if you actually want to participate in Fringe Theatre and act/dance/sing/do something arty you can contact the Dublin Fringe Festival on www.friengefest.com where you can apply to submit a performance to the Fringe.
