Wheres my promotion?

I was playing Battlefield tonight when I was promoted to Corporal, played the round out, finished and decided to go back to the main menu to have a look at my extra stripe, but...it wasn't there, didn't think too much of it, went and played another game, it said again that I had been promoted...and the round after that and the round after that again, but I have not been promoted at all, its a strange one....just wondering has anyone else had this problem? or is it something I'm just not seeing?

Seen somewhere that have to stay on like a round after get it. But I never had the problem with rank, was only with a couple of badges. So if ya get the promotion & jump off straight then to check ya mightnt get it. Stay on for a few rounds on a server & should be grand

always happens with me. just restart the game and when you log back onto the accounts server your rank should be there

Ah yes, promoted to Corporal today, thanks for the help guys. I should learn not to be so impatient in future.

yeah i had to leave the game overnight till i got my promotion and then had to go in a game and get a point till i got it.

Ye it takes a while to update your stats in game on bf2!! You have a counter on www.bf2s.com to see how long away your next update is!!

i've had that happen to me aswell
if i ever get a promotion i don't expect to see it till i go online the next day

Another problem I've been having (I'll keep it to this thread instead of creating another) is that my wake island map keeps getting changed, it won't let me play it because it says its been modified...pretty annoying as I keep having to install battlefield every so often, is there anyway around this? I presume its a common problem since I've done nothing to modify it. I do have Special Forces installed, but I doubt that makes any changes.

I had the exact same problem.

So I reinstalled BF2 and Sf and the patches in the exact right order and I havn't gotten it since.
