    Vibe is right.

Internet Options -> Content -> Autocomplete -> "Clear forms"

Not that i ever use IE, but Vibe is right. Go to Internet Options, Content, AutoComplete and clear forms...

If your computer friend is not suspicious or computer savvy, then perhaps the below might be useful? I assume you would like to detele most of your history related to your Google surfing? CAUTION: Please note that I am only a novice and still have a lot to learn. There are people on these boards light years ahead of me in terms of expertise. If they advise otherwise, follow them. SECONDARY CAUTION: If your friend is computer savvy and suspicious, there are other footprints left thanks to Windows, but not as obvious.

If using Windows XP and Internet Explorer:
    1. Look for "tools" on the top tool bar of Internet Explorer
    2. click "tools"
    3. open "Internet Options"
    4. the "General Tab" should open by default, if not, click it
    5. click "delete cookies"
    6. click "delete files"
    7. when a window opens up, click "delete all offline content", then "OK"
    8. click "clear history", then "OK"
    9. now look back at the top tool bar and click "Content"
    10. when window opens up, click "auto complete"
    11. now click "clear forms"
    12. click "clear passwords"
    13. click "OK" and then "OK" and your back to Internet Explorer

Remember, there are other more subtle footprints left by you, but if your friend is not suspicious or savvy, then this might do.

Now, if (s)he has Microsoft AntiSpyware (beta 1) installed, open this and click the button with two gears. If all the bold line boxes are checked, then you can delete a lot of tracks (17 or 18 or whatever) by clicking that button.

After having done the above, there are still more footprints left. If (s)he has Ad-Aware SE Personal installed, then it will still find anyplace from 1 to 3 footprints after you did all of the above!

MALWARE: And if you have been visiting "those sites", remember you may have also allowed a host of nasty malware infections into your friends system (cookies, adware, viruses, worms, trojans, RATs, etc., etc.). If I was she, I would not be very happy with you if I found out that you were not only visiting those sites, but also trashing my machine.

REMINDER: There are much better computer hackers, crackers and geeks than novice me, so listen to them first. Also, even if you do all of the above, and your friend is both suspicious and savvy, (s)he can find out that something is amiss. Good luck!

If you were searching on the goolge website then it's tools->Internet Options->Content->Autocomplete->Clear forms and passwords if neccesary.

If it was on the Google toolbar then just click the drop down arrow next to the Google logo and click search history. Hope this helps:)

    pr0n... lots of it.

Actually that titbit of information helped me out also, id usually type the first 3 or 4 letters and scroll to searches... the scrolling got tedious and this gives me a fresh start

eg: iaranrod eireann (just so you know it wasnt something rude :v: )

"Those sites" you admit to visiting could trash your friend's machine, even if she/he has the newest Norton, or MacAfee, or whatever. The latest anti-virus programmes are notoriously running behind the vast wave of malware that is being produced (cited in Wired and PC World magazines recently). That's why many publications are recommending that you run several types of anti-malware software at one time, including double or more firewalls. And even after doing this, all may not be stopped or otherwise detected. "Those sites" are listed in the top two for malware infection locations. Don't you care????

Cyberscrub is a good bet if you want to keep things "tidy".
It will also clear playlists and most recently opened/used files for a whole bunch of apps.
