Approximately 40 left in a multi-table freezeout 27 pay. I've got 7k and the villain has around 5k. He's been at the table for a round and kept quiet. I'm the BB and he's the button with blinds of 200/400. It's folded around to him and he limps. The small blind folds so it's heads up.

The flop is 5d 2s Js. I bet 600 and he quickly calls. The turn is 5s. I bet 600 again, attempting to look scared. He min raises and I think for a while before flat calling. The river is 8s. There is 4600 in the middle and he's got 3k left.

    Your action please.

i would put him all in..

doubt he would have a house... if he had pocket 5's he wouldnt limp in either..

he may have limped with A5 or 56 suited etc and hit his trip 5's

edit sry didnt see the flush draw... i'd still go all in though

All in! I think its unlikely that he has a hand that might bet but would not call all in. He will probably check behind with trips/medium flush and so on.

What sort of level of game is this?

I think I might try something a little different than just a straight push, he can only really call this with a solid spade IMHO, I don't think he's calling with a bare 5, but obviously this all depends on the level of the game. It might be easier to try and get him to raise you then to raise into you than for him to call an All-in, you've shown strength the whole way through. It's a nice raggedy flop for a BB and this river could easily look like a scare card to you....

Although having said that there's nothing wrong with a push too...

EDIT: No just thinking about it again, and there's nothing really you can do to get his chips other than push.... :( 1) if you raise small again, he won't re-raise, no fold equity, 2) if you check, he'll check behind with a 5, or an over pair, and so 3) he'll only push with As or Ks, but might call with less putting you on a bluff....

I just got the feeling that he was looking to make a play after this stupid min raise on the turn, abd I was afraid he'd fold to a third show of strength.... but he'll fold anyway or check, with this terrible river...

It was the $3k gtd freezeout, $24 entry. To be honest, I had no read on what he had. I'm fairly certain he would have pushed on a non-spade river but as it brought the 4th spade, I assumed he'd check it. I wanted it to look like I was afraid of the flush on the turn but if he has something like 9Ts, he'll check the river. He might make a small bet with a five if checked to but is then unlikely to call the checkraise.

I did push and he folded quicker than Billy Whizz on speed at an origami contest. In hindsight, pushing the turn seems like the best course of action.
