    http://www.cso.ie/statistics/popofeachprovcountycity2002.htm
    Males: 544,075
    Females: 578,746
Giving a ratio of 1.064:1 women:men. And most of that is accounted for by the fact that women live a few years longer.

I'd prefer two Hungarian or Lithuanian girls to four Irish girls tbh... and judging by the past week's activity on this board, so would most Irish lads

Ah Sico were those moneygrabbing fake-tan ugly fat bitches annoying you too! Yeah reckon easier to manage 2 hungarians or lithuanians. Maybe 3 spaniards? A Couple of asians? But 4 Irish - jesus christ. A man would be bankrupt in no time. :D

where are they all? Any time I go to a bar or club in Dublin there's nothing but sweaty men everywhere, and the odd bird, who is usually surrounded by sweaty men. I think they all stay at home eating pizza or something.

nothing worse than smelly drunken men .. I dunno, I'm not encouraged by the fact that it seems that a lot of men in this country will only approach a girl once they (the men) are trashed and unable to actually carry on a conversation.. why so shy?!?!

my flatmate (female) and I are at home tonight.. no pizza though!

Hmmmm, if it really is 5-1. Shouldn't WE be playing the mind games and playing hard to get????

Afterall we gots lots to choose from!

i heard this too,i dont know . on the surface its seems quite high, but i do know it was 3-1 in cork at one stage so factoring in all the immigrants who knows. i personally can attest theres WAY more girls down my local club than there use to be , so much so they're making the moves on guys first. and now that i think about it the VAST majority of staff in my work place are female so who knows.

one thing i do know though, its a GREAT time to be a single guy:D much much better that the 90's

Indeed; our worsening obesity crisis means that if you count anything with breasts, there are more women every day!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,463 ✭✭✭KTRIC

on a night out in dublin it seems the geane pool is rather polluted with knacker lads

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,988 ✭✭✭constitutionus

you know theres one thing people have forgotten about, COLLEGE.
dublins now full of culchie chicks up to the big schmoke for their education so maybe thats throwing off the ratio too. i KNOW the amount of girls i tallaght is up since the insititute opened.
and i remember being based in roslare for a time a few years back, it was like the village of the dammed. not a SINGLE woman between the age of 8 and 80 :D dublin cork and galway must be turning the rest of ireland into an oestrogen wasteland
