    Web Application Engineer

    This position will be located in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, Ireland

    StatCounter is a leading online tool for webmasters, website owners, bloggers and marketers to track and analyse the visitors to their website in real-time. We have experienced phenomenal growth over the last 6 years to become the number one free and most popular web tracker in the world. Tracking over 6 billion page loads a month across 1.2 million websites with over 700,000 members.

    We need to constantly innovate and improve the service further to develop StatCounter into the best and most easy to use website stats solution in the world.
    Technical Skills Needed:

    * Outstanding programming skills and knowledge of PHP.
    * Experience working with Unix/Linux environments.
    * Excellent knowledge of Internet/Web technologies, such as web browsers, http, html, css, javascript and xml
    * Experience in designing clean and functional Web Application UIs.
    * Knowledge of SQL and database structures. (MySQL and replication knowledge a bonus)

    Other Requirements:

    * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
    * 3+ years of experience in programming, analytics, or technical role.
    * Exceptional analytical aptitude and attention to detail.
    * Superb organisational and problem-solving skills.
    * Strong oral and written communication skills.
    * Prior team leadership experience preferred.

    Responsibilities:

    * Enhance and maintain current on-line customer support system.
    * Develop new multi-lingual website with a system to allow our members to translate website
    * Monitor web servers and fix any problems that occur with the servers
    * Help support staff troubleshoot and resolve technical customer problems they are unable to resolve
    * Enhance current StatCounter web stats system and assist in development of new stat features and interfaces based on customer requests.
