    Hi All,

Here's the details of the Carlow shoot on Saturday 4th February. Could each club please email the list of entries to me before Thursday next week.

We'll have to restrict each club to 10 archers for the moment but I'm sure there'll be some clubs not bringing 10.

Group 1 UCD, DCU, DIT, Carlow. Start shooting at 10:30
Group 2 GMIT, UL, NUIG, Maynooth. Start shooting at 12

Athlone and Cork can decide themselves which group they want to shoot in.
There's a bus from Dublin at 7:15. That'll have you down at 9. The bus stops right outside the college. The train station is a good 30 minute walk from the college so I wouldn't recommend that.

There's no direct route from Galway, Cork or Limerick to Carlow so Galway will have to go to dublin and get a bus/train from there and Limerick and Cork will have to go to Waterford and get a bus/train from there.

Prizes: Usual team prizes, Best barebow, Best compound (if Vachn is going:D), 1st, 2nd, 3rd beginner and 1st, 2nd 3rd advanced.
Entry fee is 7 euro per archer.

The Dolmen archers double FITA18 shoot is on Sunday, Any IAAA members who want to stay around for this please contact Pat lyons. His email address is lyonspat1 AT eircom DOT net

Here's a list of good b&b's for anyone staying Friday or Saturday night

    Racey Byrne's 059 9131790
    Borlum House 059 9141747
    Barrowville Town House 059 9143324
Red setter guest house 059 9142837

Nothing like Galway planned. Just general drunkenness (is that a word:confused: ) like last year

no problem with the three spots.

If anyone else would like three spots please let me know before saturday

Thanks. I'll try to shoot at UCD, but right now it does not depend on whether I want it or not. I just have to wait and see. :( I'd say it was really unfortunate and stupid to injure myself this way.

Yeah, archery and cars dont mix... I told you, you wouldn't be able to stop the car with an arrow....

    Should have used explosive arrows.

Or gotten all Chuck Norris on the car!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 69 ✭✭thesage

Chuck Norris invented explosive arrows. But he doesn't need a bow to shoot them, he roundhouse kicks them at his enemies.
