usb stick not formatted

Trying to save stuff on aforementioned stick, its not working saying its not formatted! This has not happened before!

I take it you have actually tried formatting it?
I often do a quick format on flash memory to wipe. I also have a Disgo with 3 partitions on it that I boot from. Most sticks come with their own little suite of disk utilities- check and see what you got with yours.

If you have been using the stick up until now, and it has just started being 'unformatted' then it may be faulty. Happened to me.
