    Hey,

Been having some problems with a computer and when I eventualy got the HDD out of the faulty machine, it took a while to be recognised on mine so I had to wipe it via Windows (as a secondary drive,my main one being windows).

However now when I go to install Windows on it, I get this error:
STOP: C00000221 Unknown Hard Error \SystemRoot\System32\ntd11.dll

    Any ideas why? Cheers!

There is a suggestion that it could be driver related. You could try removing any unessential cards/devices from your machine and reinstall. However it seems pretty likely that there is a problem with the hard drive itself.

Did you run a hardware check on it when you had it installed as a secondary hard drive ?

Whats odd is that on one PC the Hard Drive is detected fine, but on the other (the one thats causing me problems) it cant be detected.

I was originaly trying to install XP Pro when I got that error, and moving down to XP Home I was told Windows couldnt find my HDD.

Did a scan disk on the HDD when it was formated before, and it was fine. Although it said it was only a 12GB HDD which I know is wrong. Was kinda hoping Windows would install onto it, but for some reason the PC wont detect it.
