I sent an email to Nintendo yesterday asking them about the release date of Partners in Time here in Ireland. In case you didn't know, it was Jan 27 for Europe and Feb. 10th in the UK. Of course, being that it's Ireland, which is usually included with the UK in a lot of cases.

So, today I got a reply, stating Ireland is part of the European launch date.
Dear Customer, thank you for your e-mail.

Yes, in Ireland you are part of the European launch date.

    Kind regards,

    Your Nintendo Team

Pretty cool, now I have something to look forward to tomorrow, or Saturday. =D

Awesome news I think, for me at least.

Well I'll find out when I go to work this evening... but Game are supplied from the UK so I'd be very surprised if it made an early date.

I rang Game and they told me February.

In the UK. Jan. 27 in Europe (including here).

Anyway, I was taking into consideration that they would be selling the game in February as they are either mis-informed, or not stocked due to gettting stock from a UK Supplier.

I'm just going to pop-in to Gamestop tomorrow and see if they have a copy. I'll bring a copy of the E-Mail just in case they say it's Feb. 10.

Let us know how you get on.

Called them today, they said it's for Two weeks from now. They're obviously confused, so I told them that that date applied for the UK Only, but they're insisting it's Feb. 10. So, I forwarded the email to them earlier today and haven't gotten a reply, I was merely saying they need to correct the date. They told me it was in stock and all so, yeah, if nothing's changed by tomorrow, I'm gonna have to copy that email and bring it in.

I would say 99% of the Irish shops are supplied from the UK, so untill the suppliers themselves get stock (week of the 12th) surely the Irish Retailers wouldn't get the game untill then?

The game is well worth the wait, on a par with the first one.

I went into Game this morning and, while the fella said that they have it in stock, he reckoned there'd be no way they could sell in until they get an e-mail from Nintendo themselves.

Until then, its the tenth of February.

Bugger. Was just about to head into town now and look for it.

I know, its only two weeks though. You can't blame shops for being careful. They face fines and other severe penalties if they sell games before release.

They why don't they ask Nintendo about it. You'd get a reply in like a day. Hell, I'd go ask them to send a message to the retailers about it, if a new some addresses. =/.

I haven't gone into GameStop yet, to see if they've realised they're making a mistake :D . The guy at the shop just said "They're always changing release dates..". WTF? It wasn't changed here at all, they just don't know the date.

I was in Game yesterday. The boxes are on display, and a sticker on the front says its out on the 10th.

The retailers aren't informed. They're under the impression that the release here is the same as the UK Launch. Simple as that. . Anyway, I prefer Nintendo's word over a retailers word.

GameStop refused the email as proof. So I went to Smyths, explained to them, showed it, but they didn't have it in stock yet, so they're going to call me when they get it. Knowing Smyths, that's quite late (They didn't get FSA until the next day, rather then getting it in before it's release). =/

EDIT: Yep, Nintendo f'd up. I got an email again today, and they "changed" the release date. >_>. WTF? Unreliable NoE employees.
