    Hi there,
I have a iMAC 500 that has problems booting and CD doesn't work. I managed to remove the hard drive but although xp sees the drive it can read the file system which make sense and tried using knoppix but it too can't read the data. Is there a PC tool that allows you view files on a MAC hard drive?
    Thanks

Thanks for that. I've giving the drive to guy I know who has MAC recovery software, so we'll see how he gets on. Definitely try out this software when I get it back.
    Cheers.

    You can also try Transmac - http://www.asy.com/scrtm.htm - there's a 30 day trial.

Cheers all. FYI, my friend got the data back using "Data Rescue".
Thanks again for all the posts.
