I am aware of the following games on 2nite:
    Green jokers game in Europa
    SE 50+5 double chance
    The fitz EOM 250

Just wondering who is going to what 2nite?

Might head into the freeroll in the fitz (4.30 is it?) as I'm not in a position to fork out 270 these days.

yeah i think its 4.30 but sometimes its 4 so i'd head in by 4 to be sure.

i'm off to the SE tonight, kicks off at 8.30 i think so i might be a bit late. if anyone is in town and doesnt want to play the freeroll come to dit, and then take your winnings (trust me if your any good you'll have winnings) and buy your way into the SE for nothing!! or so is my plan!!

best of luck wherever u end up!

Just back in town from over a week snowboarding in Poland (though time on the slopes took a backseat to the drinking, eating and womanising done) so not sure if I'll make it out tonight, it I do it will be to the SE, not feeling sharp enough to try the big one in the Fitz.

Sadly this brings to mind a really long time ago episode of Glenroe (when tv choice was limited to say the least, esp on Sunday evening) of Terry (think thats her name), who asked in Glenroe about getting some grass, and was directed to Miley as he had the best grass around. Oh the hilarity. Side splitting stuff ensued.

Sorry about that bit of sadness. I will be in the Fitz.

Didn't see you, so I presume you did OK.

Boo Hoo good run over, after a tremendous January, busted out very early when my shortstacked AQ on the button walked into AA in the big blind.

Scotty looked like chip leader or thereabouts when down to 11 when I left, he is due a good result up there, hope he seen it through.

yeah did ok in my hat.
headed over to the FR in fitz.spent 30 euo euos there and came out after about 30 min.
my AK all in was called by a 53o and T9s.obviously shouldnt expect to win against such monsters.
then my AQ all in was called by a 22 .no help there either.
and then my JJ all in was called by 78s(s is for soooooooooooooooted) and flop was 788.
then i decided to go to the SE.
managed the take some ones eintere stack on the bluff reraise, funny thing was with about 3K in the pot he folded to my last 300 bet on the river:D .
then i managed to loose a big pot with AJ on a flop of KTJ 8 double suited.
i think it was one of the boardies who took the pot from me so own up cuz i love to what you had even though i think it was AQ or trip tens.
then on the final hand im on the BB with 55 and decide to make a move for the pot with was about 400 with two limpers in it.
i go all in for 1200 and walked in to UTG's AA.
Then i come home and decide to give the 12K a chance.
started well and got a stack of 8K going.
then it was reduced to 6.5K just before the rebuy was over.
obviously i forgot that it was the last hand before the rebuy and decided to make a move with T9 on the board of AQT K after i had reaised from early position and got reraised .the pot was about 4K and i pushed 4K and he called and had KK.
so a very successful night of poker all together.

lol that was me Gholimoli!. Had no idea that was you(the audio dealer;) ).
yeah i had AQ knew you both had something on the flop but i didnt like the way the board was double suited.

So that was you then you fecker ,
I should have done my special “Gholi Maw Gholi Maw” before you entered that pot.
New I was behind after you called after me.
    Either a better A or a PP.
After you just called my 300 bet on the flop I knew lower PP was out of the question but then again I thought you maybe be drawing to a str .didn’t really take the BB seriously as I felt I could take the pot away from him with a big bet on the end.
Thought there may be a chance that you’re on a draw seen as you didn’t show much strength on the flop as it was a coordinated board on the turn.
Nice pot for you all the same.
Got very silly with my 55 but the dude had limped a couple of hands before that and I thought he just likes to limp.
How did you get on anyway?

i went out in 8th, just shy of the money (which i think was top 5) but after the break i saw nothing, i don't usually complain about my run of cards but hands like t3, j2, Q4, 83, 84 all bleedin' night. only hands i won of any note was one 88 and one with 78. got to the final table low stacked and trippled up with AQ but then it was business as usual as the t3, t4, and t5 kept staring up at me. anyway, thats my rant done...

how'd the final table play out in the end?
and once again my apologies to ollie for my poker ignorance, apparantly he won the world speed something something and got loads of $$$$ for it! :D:D the things you learn at a poker table eh?

lol. the whole room seem to know last night, at least I got some respect for my preflop raises out of it.

Wp m8, I put up the prize structure in the other tread.

It was a good laugh all night and I really enjoyed it.

Yeah ul there. I was actually thinking of entertaining your all in bet but i had that guy and someone else in the hand to consider. I had 8's in that hand!!! only joking!.
I made the break with 5,100 with second chance chips. practically never seen another hand till i got moved to ollieboy's and jeff's table and took a minor pot pairing a queen.
Got moved back when table broke up and never seen a hand until i made a semi-move that failed. Only one limper in cut off so seeing as i'd be out of position i pushed in sb to take the blinds and limper which were now considerable with KQ. BB folded and cut off limper who had me well covered called with 66 that stood up. Arrrgh!!.

Levels go up too sharp after the break(20 mins) coupled with the fact that it goes from 100-200 to 200-400 so with no 150-300 level it gets harsh quickly and virtually pre flop all the way with 2 tables left. Should be the other way around 20 mins before break i reckon.

i deffo agree with you that it should be the other way around.
shorter before the breake and longer afterwards.
There was a young dude on our table, two to your left .he kept raising and rerasing an went tall in earlier with 66.
I couldn’t wait to play a pot against him. i really would have loved it. unfortunately I needed a god hand to do so as he was three to my left and his position was better than mine expect the times I was on the button and I never saw anything at all.
The best hand I saw last night was 55 .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,450 ✭✭✭califano

I wanted in on him too but as you say it never panned out to line up a shot. However we can be greatful for that other guy who practically doubled us both up. You can thank me for organising the air-conditioner pointing on 'freezing' getting reversed to 'warm'!. I didnt know which was worse the freezing air-conditioner or you muttering about it being freezing:D

i figure if they started the tournament at 8.30, as they advertise rather than 9.10 as they ALWAYS do you could easily add in a 150-300 or even an extra 10mins in the blind levels!!the tournament starts are getting later and later because everyone knows it wont kick off til at least 9... i arrived at 8.50 last night safe in the knowledge i'd be waiting around for about 20 mins before we started.

i like the idea of maybe doing 25/50, 50/100, 75/150, 100/200 pre break at 20mins... then 30mins after... who wants to do the suggesting???
