Arrgggh! Damn Nintendo always making me buy consoles over and over. The buttons and joypad look much friendlier and more raised.

    Looks really good.

But remember - March in Japan = December* in Europe.

    * December 2007, that is....

Not so much with handhelds. I'd expect to see it here by the summer. I reckon I'll have to get one anyway, if only for an excuse to have 2 DS' in the house for Mario Kart.

    Bastards!
Not a great raise in functionality.... brightness controls, wowzer!
The mic is in a better place IMO, and the power button, I guess so too. I'll have to hold it in my hands to see how it fits, I'm not that bothered with the current design and only would have bought a new one for a good reason.
I hope the screens stay the same size too... it does look nice though, even though it's only a mock up

the design ties in with the revelution quite well i think. same d-pad shape and buttons two and stuff... looks nice.. but is it worth it????

I'm quite happy with my current-gen DS tbh... though the DS lite looks nice, I'd rather spend the money on a PSP.

Damn, I was going to go with the Micro but suddenly that choice is going to be so much harder to make!

I kind of want one actually, looks pretty cool. Maybe for Christmas, I also hope it has compatibility with current DS's. (Most likely).

Though the system may be lighter, it's probably still a little heavy anyway. It should come with screen protectors really.

I never got anything after my original GBA, if this is cheap enough, I'll buy it, and still keep my original DS.

    Reasons I want it:
My DS is scratched like hell, not just the screen, everywhere.
My DS is a pain if it's in my pocket and I'm running.
Multi-Player with the old DS, something I'd love.
Looks cooler, people will stop thinking it's too big.

    Looks good.

The only thing I don't like about it is the word 'Lite' yuck!

i hope the put some new stuff into it software/hardware wise....

    upgradable firmware could be nice....

and also seeing as it look like the revolution in button design and colour, it'd pretty sweet it it had motion detection like the revolution controller..... now that would be super duper cooooolll

    looks nice
hopefully it's a bit more comfortable for extended use with games like Mario Kart (i get some evil cramps after holding A for so damn long)

Well, it looks like I am going to have to find some sap to buy my existing DS, then come up with an excuse for the missus as to why my Nintendo seems to be evolving!
It does look the cats pyjamas, and as a Nintendo freak a must have.
Just don't invite PSP owners their opinion, you know what the low-brow shower are likely to say.

People who own both DS and PSP are of course exempt from any possible suggestion I may have made regarding the lack of true gaming goodness in PSP owners lives.

I only own a PSP and ugliness and the surety of a redesign (Thanks to Reggie last year) was why I didn't get a DS aswell. Am I to pick up a DS Lite? Yes ;)

Low brow? We've got the Lumines to your Meteos; don't be mean ;)
