i have a shuttle pc (SN95G5V2) and its driving me crazy, everything works fine unless i have it plugged out for any longer than 15 minutes. then all the fans come on and nothing else works.

after i have plugged it out for that long i have to open the case and reset the cmos by taking the battery out. then it will boot fine

i have tried different cmos batteries !

    The spec is

    AMD 64 3200+
    1gb corsair ram
    320gb hard disk
    Hauppage pvr 500 mce
    nvidia fx5200 256mb

Something similar happened to my old PC. It needed to 'heat up' before it would start up. I never did find out what it was, so I bought a new one almost identical to 'your beloved rig'.:D
