Right so, due to a completely packed schedual, and a crappy VHS recorder I haven't seen any new Stargate since the end of Atlantis season 1 and whatever the corrisponding SG-1 series was. So without any spoilers, could someone please tell me if the latest series is any good?

I've resigned myself to getting the DVD's to fuel the need for a bit of wormhole action but I'm quickly running out (I've already got through Seasons 1-3 in a week)

Atlantis was full of , amm, filler episodes. Was a few good ones, such as the last one. But tbh they shoulda made a few 2 part episodes insteada rushin one till finish where it coulda been good, insteada makin us feel cheated outta half the story & wonderin how things ended up. Last episode was cool though :D Think next week last in this season though seen said somewhere, and it should be good on the basis of this week's.

SG-1 , Aint seen many lately tbh. Bit more of a storyline to the SG-1 episodes though.

I think atlantis has been better than SG-1 this year, SG-1 has been very hit and miss for me, the atlantis filler episodes usually are'nt half bad, and Rodneys a fantastic character.

Stargate is wise investment one way or another.

the storylines have been a bit messed about in that there trying to close it all up too fast and there has also been alot of cheesy and unnecessary scenes in it, other than that they bump into some pretty cool things out their so if ur a fan u will enjoy it...

Well, I've always found SG-1 to rush conclusions to fit into the 41 min timescale. The real "what will be do?" *no pause for thought* "I know, we'll do this really technical thing"

well i love Stargate (both series)
i'm liking the new enemy in SG1
and atlantis has some good stories so far...small bit rushed though in some of them

    Broadband>Sky+

And the second half of Season 9 has been much better IMO.

For me SG-1 in Season 9 is the poorest by far . It has had the odd attempt at decent writing but in general I find the writing sloppy, rushed, as someone else said and short of imagination. Atlantis by comparison, whilst it has had a few dodgy episodes, has maintained a greater degree of continuity and structure currently sadly lacking in its big brother. IMO Seasons 1-7 are worth watching with the last two a lot weaker.
