i played very well all through ...was big chip leader (2-3 times next stack) with 10-12 to go...ended up heads up with pretty even stacks with FiveBellies ...even in the headsup I held my own well and there was alot up and down on the stacks...had a couple of monster hands that I failed to trap him with...

then I made a stupid call to his allin where I thought he had over cards (dont aslk me why) to my a6o with a 236 suited flop..he had a str of the flop...it was stupid because I didnt even have a flush draw...but somehow i convinced myself i was ahead...think it was my only mistake


Anyways I went out for a decent payday

wp slegs, The 12k is a big tournament nowadays.. somewhat different to the 120 players it used to get last year (when it was the 7.5k)! - How many runners?

260ish players..has been bigger even recently


had a big night a couple of weeks ago when I won the 12K and the 10K-100$ playing both final tables at the same time...maybe this should now move to the boast thread

It can be anywhere from 260 to 350 players now. Takes about 5 to 6 hours to win and people play very lose at the start. But nice prize pool for final 4.

The 10k at 8 is even bigger by 100 players, I've stop playing it all together.

I would like to see the buy-in get a bit bigger and the prize pool bigger to shorten the field.

What about a $40 rebuy or even $50, with 15k guaranteed.

i actually had a similar experience once. Found my self in the final of the 7.5K and the 10K in pretty good shape.
didn’t win either of them ofcource but it was a nice pay day all the same.
the 12K has really changed alot as Oca said ,not only in numbers but in standard as well.
i use to do really well in them, but have struggled with it recently.
as im writing this im trying to see whether or not my push with J8s that busted me was +EV or not.

I did the exact same thing back in April 05, 7.5k and 10K (99r) in the same night.. but haven't managed to repeat...! there were fewer players back then, I didn't think it was possible with up to 400 players in the 12K nowadays.. !
