May I ask in what order should files be downloaded for a new pc with XP Pro:

    Firewall
    Anti Virus
    Microsoft Updates

Would this be the right order ?

    Pretty much yes

Firewall would be first (If you have SP2 you get a firewall with it)
You could download Auto Updates to update your firewall and that
Then you could download your Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware

I would say the main one is download the Firewall first, then the other doesn't matter too much with the 2nd and 3rd

    Hope that helps :)

Thanks. By the way would I be right to disable XP firewall and use ZoneAlarms instead ?

    Yes.

Running 2 firewalls at once can cause probs.. ( also Win XP firewall is a joke only blocks traffic one way)

As soon as u have anti-virus installed update it and do a full scan ASAP..

I usually Firewall first, then Virus then updates and then run a virus scan..

    Good Luck
