lens cases

    Can anyone recommend lens cases that aren't overly bulky? I have some lowepro lens cases and they are significantly wider than the lenses and take up too much room in my bag. What does everybody else use?

    Not being smart or anything but I thought the idea of lens cases was for lenses that you didn't keep in your bag.
    The sections in my Lowepro bag provide plenty of protection without the need for extra cases.

    You're probably right but I'm a bit paranoid about them. The more protection the better.

    I think there a waste of money if you have a good bag...I have loads of lens cases and pouches which I got when I purchased my lenses and don't use any of them, I use a lowpor Mini Trekker AW and Nature Trekker AW II, they are both excellent back packs. Put your lenses inside you lens hood and then put it in the back pack.
