    Hi,

****This is not an advertisement, it's a request for information ****

In a pub across the road from a friend's new house tonight, I saw an advertisement for a poker tourney, run by a group called Prime Time Poker.

I'm not going to say where or when, as I'm not advertising it.

Has anyone heard of this group, and if so are they good skins or shysters? There was no information on the poster bar date, time, location and bare buy-in/rebuy.

They have a website. I wont give its URL, but its kinda obvious and easy to find. It looks as if it was designed by a 5 year-old. No contact information other than first names/mobile numbers and an eircom.net email address.
Theres very little information there, a list of pubs where games are on, but no details of the structure /buy-in etc.
I think you would be right to be wary.

Never heard of them, go over and ask them what the blind structure is, if all the money goes to the pool or what % they take, what happens if the pub closes etc. Its your money, you're entitled to know these things and then leave if you don't get satisfactory answers.

I actually know the guys who run this. Nice guys but I don't play any of their tournaments so I'm not able to give you detailed information on the buy-in / blinds.

But...... they do have a lot of regular pubs around the inner city and they have their hard core regular players so they get a good turn out.

Played 1 event once, spent the whole night sorting out pots and explaining rules to the players so if you are looking for a care free/ have a few drinks kinda pub tournament then i'd recommend Prime time.

If you want to better yourself as a player then hit the casino's!!
