Hmmm, well we could start by not talking about it in general. Even if we all sit bitching about how we (for example) hate Coldplay it's just going to lead to someone somewhere checking the band out purely from that lead and eventually falling in love with them.

Popular culture is the one problem that goes away simply by ignoring it.
