A question to anyone who had 5.1 with COD2...

Just got the advanced scart cable and while playing Call of Duty 2 there is no sound coming from the center speaker, tried on the Prject Gotham demo and center speaker was working fine?! Surly there should be sound coming from the center in COD2?! Can someone tell me if they have sound comin out of there center in COD2 please?!

Yes I do, I use the component connection but it doesnt change.
I read somewhere else somebody has this problem aswell.

Thanks for your reply, ok well there's no sound from the center while listening to music and browsing the desktop either?! I thought this was meant to be normal? is it?! I'm guessing u dont know how the problem was solved before no?

I think thois happened on the origial Xbox as well. Some games are programmed as 4 channel + sub, rather than 5 channel. The voices that are usually sent to the centre are just sent to both L + R instead. It definitely happened on Halo 1.

I'll check on my setup tonight, but I'm surprised you can tell with the racket that game makes!

It says that there is no support for 5.1? only for voices on multiplayer and the little movies! I'm not impressed!!

'Black' was demoed as a current generation game at E3 last year; it was one of the few games to actually look next generation, if I can remember right, it was demoed on PS2 (what it'll look on that console is another thing).
