I'm not sure you expect from replies, you seem to know the answers to your own question.

im the exact same i think its cos wen your not playing a hand online all you can do is look at the wall well for me anyway but live theres a bit of banter at the table and a bit of craic and atmosphere that you just dont get online thats why much prefer live...

My problem is the other way around, my online game is a lot stronger than my live game and I can be very patience both live and online, but always seem to get outdrawn in live games, but this mostly comes from my lack of live game and that its easier to move to another game online and get a result while forgetting my losses.

But its something I'm working on this year. So more live games is the target.

This may come across a little strange but I always try and talk to myself during a hand, as In okay I’m going to play this J,6o I just want to come across as a loose player to get paid later on etc, however if I limp under the gun and it's raised a substanstiol amount I always say okay, not worth calling here, could get in trouble for the stack they and I have behind me. Just remind yourself at every opportunity that your playing for real cash + think about what the missus will do to you if you lose it all :D Just be patient but do mix it up quite a bit. Think of position, table image and chips before you get into any pot :D

I always think that listening to a bit of music on the net and even at live games is nice, keeps you concentration up and relaxes you. Nothing better than when you lose a big hand at a live game, and are just about to go and tilt than sticking on the ipod and listening to some nice relaxing music to get your head around things.

ill try talkin myself thru the hand tat sounds good but i dont like da music idea doesnt suit me if im listening to an up beat music i seem to play up beat or over bet which can be a very bad thing when betting into nuts

Im generally a strong enough player online but my problem is that if im playing and hand after hand i get nothing i get bored and tend to make stupid mistakes. Ill get an ok hand but nothing great and it probably seems great after getting nothing for so long. Eventually getting beaten by a much better hand.

Im getting better at this now.

What ive started doing is while waiting for bets to come around i sit back from the screen and fold my arms away from the mouse.

It prevents me from making rash decisions. Its been working so far.

Text speak creeping in. Isn't there a rule about that? Personally I hate it anyhow, whatever the rule.

You could multi-tabling at a lower level and only play choice hands? That way you won't be as bored. Just a thought!
