I've checked ebay.ie and there is a clatter of stuff from Hong Kong and it's hard to know what's good. I'd like 640x480 or better, fps not important - I suppose 15fps is good enough. It's for monitoring an external area, cheaper than CCTV given that there's a PC/laptop with USB available. Software that records only changes…

Night vision might be useful, but an external light will come on if there is motion.
Recognised brand name might be Logitech Quickcam Pro 5000 Webcam
Budget preferably under 100 euro incl VAT.

Anyway, anyone using a model they are particularly pleased with?
