Guitar course - wat do you think?

    Hey guys i was looking about maybe doin a 1 year diploma in a guitar school and i though you guys could give me your thoughts? This is the one i was lookin at:

    That sounds like great fun and a great way to get a proper and rewarding insight into the instrument. My advice would be get lessons before you go if:

    You have no idea about music theory.

    Your fret board knowledge of chords, scales and arpeggios is anything short of being comprehensive.

    You cannot read music.

    You're not practicing regularly to a metronome.

    Your ability to recognise intervals and chord types by ear is not up to scratch.


    Sussing all that will put you at an advantage to properly get the full worth out of the course.

    I went to the Open Day for that place, was on the verge of signing up but hadn't got the funds at the time. From the limited knowledge I gained I would say it couldn't possibly be a bad idea.:D
