I'm sure you've played enough on betfair to know exactly who takes advice from that muppet

Probably not the wisest thing to be saying on a public forum Nicky.

I don't think it's a bad article, it's kind of stating the obvious but in fairness he's right about everything he's saying.

Setting targets will cost you money, and playing more sattelites is also pretty bad advise IMO.

OK maybe the satellite advice isn't completely sound, but I don't think setting targets is the worst idea in the world. I don't have that much experience of playing cash games, but for me the problem is that there is no goal or finish to aim for. This is just psychological, and could probably be changed, but if I set myself targets in cash games I tend to do better. I know this goes against most other advice, and most winning cash game players will disagree with this, but it definitely helps me.

Although I have figures in my head as to what profit I want to make, my goals are generally more to do with how many hours I put in or how many hands/SnGs I should play in a day/week/month etc. Setting strict financial goals is a bad idea.

I learnt a very harsh lesson from not taking advice from muppets.

One day in the summer I was looking for a guys house, spent ****ing ages searching for it.........kermit the frog his name was.....and i walked up and down his ****ing street looking at all these people saying 'im not asking that muppet, im not asking that muppet, im ****ed if im asking that muppet'

....then in the end i decided if i want to find kermit the frogs house I have to ask a muppet...

Eventually asked one and he told me to fcuk off!
