OSX'ing up my XP

I asked this in Computers/Tech yesterday but figured I might get a better responce here.

Firstly, I would really like to have the OSX feature with removable media on my XPpro set up, if that's possible. Basically, for those who don't know it, it's when a removable media shows up on the desktop when it's put in, and disappears when it's not; kind of like having a shortcut that is only there when you need it. So if I put a CD in my drive it would appear on the desktop, likewise with USB flash drives, ipods, zip discs etc.
Anyone know if this is possible?

Secondly I'd like to get the OSX dock for it too, but I remember using a plugin before and it slowed the computer down horribly. Is there any way to get a dock-style feature that doesn't destroy your running speeds?

    Thanks.

What dock did you use? I've used both Object Dock and Yz Toolbar, didn't notice a slow down with either though.

Have a look at http://osx.portraitofakite.com/ to change the style. Think I might give it a go :)

I think I used object dock. I'll try it again though, but it was very slow for me.
