I am going for an interview with AOL in Citywest and i am getting the train from Limerick, what is the easiest way to get to Citywest? I heard a taxi would be about €50 is this true? How long would the Luas to tallaght be then a taxi to tallaght?
    Any info would be helpful

Dublin Bus Route 69 serves the outbound stop on Parkgate Street (come out of the front entrance of Heuston, turn left, cross the river and then left again and the bus shelter will be in front of you).

The fare would be EUR 1.80 each way.

    Timetables are at http://www.dublinbus.ie/your_journey/viewer.asp?route=69

I would allow 5 minutes for the bus to get from Aston Quay to Parkgate Street, and then approximately 50 minutes(off peak) for the bus to get to Citywest.

Alternatively, take the LUAS to Tallaght and catch a 50, 65B, 201, or 202 from outside the Square to Citywest (or take a taxi from the Square).

Journey time would be appx. 35 minutes on the LUAS and 15 minutes on the bus (plus waiting time - allow 45/50 minutes for either the 50 or 65B to get from town to the Square if trying to judge it from the timetables).

If you look in the sticky post for private bus services there's information about a service which links the luas stop at tallaght with citywest for €1 each way, or Heuston station with citywest for €2 each way.

    The link is http://www.citywestcampus.com/getting_there/timetable.asp

However, unless you're going there in the morning and coming back at the end of the working day, its unlikely to be much use to you, but may save you one taxi fare.

A taxi from tallaght to citywest will probably cost around €10. (given the distance is about 5 or 6 kms). From the city centre would probably cost closer to €30, but that's a rough guess. Shouldn't be as much as €50.
