I keep getting a message on my laptop that the system has to shut down and then gives me 1 minute to close everything - anyone any ideas as to how I can sort this out. Thanks

I'm fairly sure this is a virus. Have you an up-to-date AntiVirus program on your laptop? Does it only happen when you go online?

You're been hit by the Sasser virus.

Get an up to date virus scanner.
Run Windows Update on the second Wednesday of every month - you're a bit behind the times, by the sounds of it.

Sound like a virus I got once on my PC. It was a while ago and I can't remember how I got rid of it though. Try virus scans etc.

To stop it shutting down, go to run and type "shutdown -a". That'll give you more time to download the fix and apply it.
