I've never been a fan of the underworld films. I mean vampires + werewolves + asskicking should be an unbreakable formula, but despite that somehow the underworld "krew" managed to produce something entirely hollow.

But while we are on the subject of chicks that kick ass check out the following trailer..

    http://www.ugo.com/channels/filmtv/features/ultraviolet_trailer/default.asp

It's a little heard of film it seems, mainly because sony haven't given it much exposure or promotion, but from the trailer alone it looks like the film that flicks like underworld 1,2 and Aeon Flux wished they were.

The premise is still cheesy as hell, but the action looks stylish and sexy, not to mention the hot, hip chick in the 70's outfit. For those with broadband I reccomend the high res quick time version.

Ah, the new film from Kurt Wimmer. Not sure about this one, the whole totalitarian government thing is getting a little stale (Though I'm still awaiting V For Vendetta), but Wimmer did seem to inject enough dramatic substance into Equillibrium so that it wasn't an entirely shallow SFX-Action affair. This could be an alright film, but it does bare some comparison to Aeon Flux, which is certainly not a good thing.
