Jack the Hough runs in Cork this Sunday 22nd of Jan at 3pm. I never got to post about him when he won on the 2nd of Jan as I was on holiday's in Berlin, he won that race at 10/1, but was very lucky to do so. I'm not sure what to expect out of him this Sunday, but I will be having a small each way bet on it, he's forecasted to be around the 10/1 mark, although I expect he might be a bit shorter than that. My brother-in-law owns him.

I've lost some money on this horse in the past, but the win at the start of this year made up for previous bad runs. This is by no means a dead cert, and I'm not feeling confident about it at all, but thought I would post it anyway. If you are going to have a bet, keep it small. It might be better to invest that money in the Euromillions :-p

I put €5 on Imperial Storm @ 22/1 and €5 place at 4/1, so hopefully it is another good tip from masterK!

Its hard to see How Ironic winning today but I a place could be a good bet on her today, here is the Racing Post analysis of her last race:
How Ironic, narrow winner of a hunter chase at Gowran Park last season, had finished in the rear behind Brave Eagle at Punchestown in November. She showed more here and was prominent throughout, didputing the lead from five out to four out and plugging on at the one pace from there to the finish.

Was just talking to the brother in law there, he said the horse is carrying top weight, which is why it has a claimer on board today. It has come second before with this jockey, and he expects it to be placed.

Imperial Storm was desperately unluckly, he was travelling like a winner when he slipped. It seemed to me that the horse on the rail hung left and collided into him causing him to slip. A right sickener for those of us who backed it at 20/1 on Betfair. Keep an eye out for it's next run, although I doubt the odds will be great.

Jack the Hough runs again today in Cork in the 5.10. Once again I am not expecting much, but I am very interested in how the horse runs. This is a big field, and it's a tough field containing the likes of Just and Ransboro, but Jack the Hough is nicely handicapped for it, and this is his home track, and this distance is fine. No odds yet with PP, but Hill are offering 14s. I might do an e/w on it just to keep it interesting, but even if I do, the most I would go on it would be 5 e/w. The only reason I'm replying here, like I did with Garvivonnian and Powerstation, is that I want to see how the horse progresses.
