You probably won't know when you're getting your holidays until April, which is usually when the exam timetables come out.

do u thin the 24th of may would be a safe bet though, the flights are really cheap, so i wouldn't be devestated either way.

The date when the main exam timetables (final version) are planned to be circulated to the Heads of Departments and such is the 7th of April, so they should be up shortly after that. This is all depending on the efficiency of everyone involved!

The end of term time in Trinity Term (the third term) is the 12th of May, the same day as the Trinity Ball. Then there's a week of studying, and then the exam period starts on the 22nd of May. The exams can take up anywhere from one week to 3 or even 4, depending on how you're spread out.

Usually the exam timetables are more favourable for JS and SS students. Last year for example, JF Engineering Students had 6 exams in 6 days (afaik).

So to answer your question, there is not a chance that all of your exams will be over by the 24th of May.

On a different note, the dates for when departments submit the exam papers for JF/SF is the 10th of April, with JS/SS & PG on the 18th of April. Get your shiny red apples in before then...

[edit] Oh yeah, check the exam papers from the last number of years for a very rough guide for when previous years have been finished. Linky: http://www.tcd.ie/Local/Exam_Papers/

No, not safe at all. That's probably around the time they start. I'd say mid-June to be safer (but not safe).

Hmmm, last year my course were finished by the 30th May. Hopefully this bodes well, i'll be awaiting the exam timetables with much interest, and check out what the deadline for RSVP-ing this wedding.

Is there any reason why they come out so late? Graduation dates for next Oct/Nov seem to be fixed already. I'm with Sandals on the flights issue - the wedding's in the US.

Btw, did i mention i could be going to a wedding? I've only ever been to two weddings, so please forgive me my excitement.

Thanks for sharing with the group. Now, remember, your SU should be there for you. Perhaps you could contact the Education Officer, and arrange to have all the committee minutes, etc, from the SU dictated onto tape for you? With various actors for each speaker, like Sinn Fein ppl used to have.

Can we get Colin Farrell in for the voice of Niall Hughes? maybe with Hector doing the voice of John Mannion? that'd be great...
