Removing Linux to give XP more storage space

My dad has linux (SuSE 9.0) installed on a second HD, he wants to get rid of it to make more room for XP, just to store files. The second HD is viewable in Disk Management in XP, I can go to "Delete Logical Partition" and get rid of linux that way, but the secnd HD is controlling the boot up. When we got rid of linux first, the computer wouldn't reboot, it came up with a message saying "GRUB", reinstalled linux and set up the boot configuration, now windows will load. Has anyone got any ideas on how to remove linux and make the second HD accesible to widows.
