Problems with Firefox

    Hi all,

I tried to perform a speedtest on my connection and normally use the following site
    http://internetfrog.com/mypc/speedtest/
But when I tried today, firefox just closed with no error message.

Also when I Right-Click an image on Firefox and select Save As the response time is very slow. And when I try to change the directory I save in the Program crashes - again with no error message.

I tried the same site both in IE and Opera and its fine.

I have cleared cache, cookies. I tried Firefox in Safemode as well.

Has anybody had any similar problems and a suggestions as to what is going on?

The speedtest is a Java Applet, could this be the problems.

    OS: WinXP SP2
    Firefox: Ver 1.5

I have the same config as you Quazzy and can use the site without problems. Maybe worth manually updating the Java runtime... HERE

    Tanx All.

I'll check both and report back.

    Eurika:

It turned out to be my firewall causing the problems. Now everything is running smoothly again.
