    if i get somethings from america sent over here total weight around 10lb via fedex will i get charged by customs?

    Eh, dunno. I've bought quite a bit over the interweb but i dont think it weighed that much.

    depends on whats in it too. ring the post office/customs.

    Normally goods posted in the US at the post office (USPS) are delivered in Ireland by GLS as there is a contract with between Customs & GLS for GLS to collect the duties. I think GLS will also charge a commission for the privilege of collecting the duty for Customs. If your goods are delivered by FEDeX or UPS they will send you a bill for the amount due in duties. Certain goods are duty free and it depends on the value of the goods rather than the weight . try www.revenue.ie for details of customs duties
