    Hi,

I'm looking to purchase some printable Fullface Dual Layer DVD+R.

    Two questions:

    1. Do they exist?
    2. If they do, where can I buy them?

I tried the usual haunts, but no fullface dual layer's:(

    Any help, directions appreciated.

    SH

Should I take it from the silence, that they don't exist?

Yes they exist. I have a spare box of 50 DVD-Rs if you want them. Full face printable.
Check out some of the usual online disk places, SVP, BlankDiscShop, etc

Datawrite Printable DVD+R Dual Layer 2.4x 8.5 Gb in a tub of 10 for €37.98, at the bottom of the page.

Good company: bought lots of stuff off them before.

But I don't think they're full face? Or are they?

    Thanks again

    Hi to all who replied,

None of the links provided actually point to what I was looking for (close, but no cigar). BTW, I'm not complaining - just pointing it out.

I find it hard to believe, that they don't exist, but I've scoured Google & the links provided, with no luck!

Is there any particular reason, that anyone can see, why they're not available?

Thanks again for the help :)

There's no technical limitation, but most dual layer burners are capable of -R, which is cheaper to manufacture, so it's probably just lack of demand.

    Hi Khannie,

I had thought that too, until I went looking for -R version, guess what? No dual layer, fullface printable DVD-R either!

    Go figure!

You can get them here: http://www.computeruniverse.net/
I've purchased 1,000's of € worth of stuff from them, from digitial cameras, tv cards, monitors, media etc. Can't rate them highly enough, excellent service and never once had a problem plus there prices are good. They are based in Germany just outside Frankfurt.

Here's the info you need to find the product:
    ProductID:
    90156525
    EAN-Code:
    023942435174
    Manufacturer part number:
    43517

    Hi jester77,

Thanks for the reply, but sadly they're not fullface printable :( . On the plus side looks like a good site!

    Thanks again

What do you mean by fullface printable?

I have the single layer versions of these discs and the whole surface is a matt white finish so that you can place it in a printer. This lets the whole surface get printed on. Even the part around the rim that is normally glass on a music CD is covered with the white surface.

    Have a look here.
basically you can print to within approx. 2cm of the center hole as opposed to within approx. 3.5cm of the center (not full face).

    I know I'm being fussy, but I just can't see why, they're not available:confused:

    Thanks for the help
