ye i thought this was a classic episode there was something about seing martuff and Janett again. was a filler i suppose but it could only mean there saving still more money for the great big season end battle.

BTW is anyone concerned that if there cousins send then tuesdays SGA (2nd last episode in season 2) that it may spoil end of SG1 season 9 ?

and 187 episodes kool but guess we have to wait till season 10 episode 5 till the 200th episode

I enjoyed this. It was great to see Martouf and Fraiser again but the surprise was spoilt by their appearance in the credits. Stupid SAG rules

As often with an M&M episode, it was quite geeky in referencing previous episodes, such as "A Matter of Time" and "There But for the Grace of God". But it made sense and it was nice to see previous lore being used to have the characters jump very quicky to the correct conclusion about their alternate selves.

I quite liked the way the Carters interacted here (as it was far more Carter based than anyone). In particular her little happy "Yup" when Mitchell commented she finally had someone who could keep up with her. It also worked well when they were trying to outthink themselves at the end.

Primarily a filler but much like other fillers, it was quite good. And the whole "green wire" thing - assuming it wasn't some sort of joke - added that little story arc nod for me. Good fun.

I agree - fun, standalone (apart from the green wire thing) episode, nice guest appearances, good humour. Liked it alot.

yeah there were at least 2 comments made by the geeky scientist that were directed at the fans; why are they only sg1 teams coming through?, cant reember the other one

pity jack wasnt a member of one of the alternative teams, or the guy that was killed in the very first episode but has re-appeared in every multidimensional episode, or any other part time character

a decent filler episode for once

Oh why didnt they give all of them a Prior Zapper on the way home?
Good filler Ep alright, liked the new grey fella - looked scared in parts.
    "no pants" *chuckle*

I quite enjoyed this episode, but I don't know if it was actually any good or not  What I'm a bit miffed on was that in the first multi-dimension episode the two Carter's got headaches after a bit, something to do with their being two of her in the one universe. But nobody here got any headaches over the whole time. Also, how did the first team know exactly which parallel universe to go to? They needed to go to one with a ZPM, so how did they know that this reality had a ZPM in Atlantis?

It was nice to see a few old faces, but I'd have liked to see Jack come through on one of them too.

"Cut the green wire" - genuine help, or revenge? I wonder how this will come back into the story?

Umm they did mention it :) Entroipic cascade effect - the Doc mentioned it. He theorised that, in this case, the universes are quite close to our own and didn't split as much so the effect is lessend. Entropic cascade effect only takes place after a while anyway - it's not an immediate thing.
Also, how did the first team know exactly which parallel universe to go to? They needed to go to one with a ZPM, so how did they know that this reality had a ZPM in Atlantis?
Good question. And how did they know, for sure, what the iris code would be given it's randomly generated (I assume) and changed. Or are certain events like that pre-determined. Ow my head...

Aye. I mean if Janet and Martouf are on the team in one alternate reality, surely Jack was still on the team in even more..

    I dunno, I liked it. Not and A, but a high C.

The writing isn't improving but hey, it has been nine years...but, the twists certainly are. Didn't see the evil twin thing coming anywhere (especially wihtout the beards), and the ZPM thing was an interesting idea. Only qualm there is with how they knew we had one.

It was nice seeing old faces but unfortunatly they served no real prupose which just gave me flashbacks of the tripe that was 'Moebius'. But atleast I missed the first two minutes so I genuinly didn't know that was coming and I was still hoping Jack would come around the corner and shock shock! an alternate reality without a Kawalski?!!!

Some of the humour in this one was great and original, and by original I mean seperate to Jacks style. The only two jokes I didn't like were Mitchell's about getting to 'second base' with some undoubhtably minging farm girl and then the one he made about the Asgard and nudity (Sheppard beat him to it)

The references to past episodes was good not for filling gaps but for building an explanation of what was going on and helped us speed to a conclusion as to what was going on. Also, Mitchell's line of 'cut the green wire'...was a very interesting writing idea.
I didn't like how they made a cure for Fraiser wihtout the responsible priors DNA.

Well I can't wait to see what the green wire is and I wish we could have seen more of that hard ass 'elite' looking Sg-1.
BTW is anyone concerned that if there cousins send then tuesdays SGA (2nd last episode in season 2) that it may spoil end of SG1 season 9 ?
Are you suggesting that there is a cross over that you have just ruined for those of us doing things legally?

To be fair, that was a deliberate re-telling of the same joke and not a slipup as some people have claimed.

As Joeseph Mallozi (co-writer) says on Gateworld here:
cene 30: Kvasir, Landry, and Green SG-1 discuss a possible solution

In the original script, the scene ended with Landry's "Shut this thing down." However, Ben came by my office and requested Mitchell make some sort of comment on Kvasir. This was, after all, the first time his character had ever laid eyes on an Asgard -- something the other members of the team now take for granted. After giving it some thought, I decided to parallel Sheppard's reaction to Hermiod in "Intruder" -

GREEN MITCHELL: Even though I read all the mission reports, the Asgard are a whole lot different than I'd imagined them.

GREEN TEAL'C: And what were you expecting?

GREEN MITCHELL: Well, pants for starters.

I personally thought this was a reasonably good episode. :)

The green wire remark was interesting, IMO.

    Oh I know...but I just didn't like it.

It's bad enough with Mitchell being a Jack clone, but now he's takling pages from Sheppards book. I think that's bad since Sheppard himself was originally a Jack clone.

im suggesting there might be a cross over i dont know myself bhut there was a crossover at the end of season 8 / season 1 so why not again

I didn't like how they made a cure for Fraiser wihtout the responsible priors DNA.

in the end the cure orlen was developing wasnt used, they took the vaccine that whatshisface jaffa with prior powers made.

id imagine that was the cure they gave her. so in answer to your question cause they didnt need it

Originally, yes. Would you agree now though that he's moved beyond that and formed his own distinct character? I certainly feel so.

I would agree that, but put it into Asgard perspective, 'they're making a copy of a copy of a copy...eventually there's gonna be some degrdation.'
