i'm just wondering has anyone gotten in trouble whipping out a camera at a gig? i know at some of the bigger places they have a problem with large camera but what bout the likes of the village, rbf comin up and it's a small place so i think i could get a few good photos with my nikon d50, its kinda big tho. whats the chances of me getting fcuked out for it/ camera taken and files deleted?

Pretty much any small gig there wont be a problem. Its only big official MCD/Aikan gigs they'rll be a problem. Anarchist has brought ****in video cameras to Toxic gigs before.

cool i dunno what reel big fish will be like tho...last year wasnt too big but with the new album i dunno.anyone done what i plan before?to the village, whats the layout of the place, security just up from or is there any even?

Doesn't usually matter about security or where they are. If it's a toxic gig there won't be a problem. As jimbo said, if it's being run by one of the bigger Promoters there might be a problem. Or you could apply for a press pass.

I doubt the Village would be too happy about it.

The venue doesn't matter at all. It's down to the promoter.

Simple solution is refuse to go to big gigs.

Everyone should refuse to go to age-limited gigs be they big or small anyways

Yea. Well it would work if everyone refused. But that's not going to happen any time soon.

I know! It's so infuriating not being able to go to gigs! Thankfully there are now only 37 days remaining to my 18th, so I'm no longer that bothered!

my mate got into the village with his Nikon D70 in a backpack, no problem, not a word was said to him at all

the gig in question was José González there the last time he played there (think just before christmas)

Em yeah thats a great idea. Why dont we just stop bands who are too small to afford to play bigger venues playing at all? Then everyone would be happy.

He's just on about the whole ethics of it. What with it being the most stupid reason ever of not being able to get into somewhere.

we''ll the clubs would have a hard time serving drinks otherwise, most over 18 gigs...if not all are in places where drink is served. ti silly tho when alot of fans are under 18 tho

yeah but its never gonna happen cause they will have to serve drinks in the venue to help cover the cost/make a profit.

Not that i care about over 18 gigs or anything :D

I'm fully aware about the business aspect of it especially with insurance and all that jive. But I wouldn't even mind if they put a big X on my head so as to not be served.

Ah if only twas a perfect world. :v:

In a perfect world there'd be no age limit for drinking at all...

tis a bit bent if your under 18, BUT when I was younger I didnt find it too hard to get into over 18 gigs, easier than getting into a pub anyway. I say its more a legal thing(drinking premisies and the like) than a choice thing by the club, they're would be equal uproar if the would serve drink at the gig by the over 18s crowd, its kinda catch 22

Yea. It is a leagal thing, mostly. But as Dregin pointed out at some point, the less underages there are at gigs the more money the venue makes. Agree with you that there would be uproar if they stopped searving drink at gigs though. The X on the forhead is the only way really. It was far easeir years ago to get into gigs (and pubs) being under age. I've been going to gigs since I was 15, and I've never been refused. But since then I've been asked for ID loads of times. Lucky for me I was over 18 by the time they started enforcing these laws...

its something ya just have to accept i think. i notice alot of underagers at gigs tho, the bouncers are too busy looking at tickets to be checking id, but then again thats not much good for underagers, they buy the ticket then think they can slide in, don't, and end up on they're arse with a ticket to a gig the cant get into
