    Thank you very much.

I'm currently using a Canon EOS 20D. Some of the photos were taken on Fuji Velvia using a Nikon FM2 (e.g the Skelligs) while a few were taken on my first digital camera, a Canon Powershot G5. I don't see myself using film anymore unless the Canon gets sick and I have to fall back on the Nikon while it's being repaired.

No, I don't. Landscape is my thing and because one might be able to turn in a half decent landscape shot does not necessarily mean that he/she can turn their hand to wedding photography as well. A lot of couples have found to their cost that just because Uncle Jimmy has a good camera doesn't mean he can take good wedding photos. Wedding photography requires (a) a thourough understanding of how to pose people properly (b) the ability to order people around with the efficiency of an SS Obersturmbannführer while maintaining the charm of a gigolo (c) the skill of working to a very tight timeline in the full knowledge that the shots are unrepeatable (d) absolute confidence that the camera equipment will not fail...this invariably means having a back-up body just in case.

I do think though that digital has made life easier for wedding photographers. There is the obvious advantage of immediate feedback but also, because of the absence of film, they can take a lot more shots, can vary ISO levels and produce B&W shots without having to change cameras as they would have had to do in the past. I don't think this drop in their costs have been reflected in their prices though!

Very, very nice pics. Some of those Skellig ones are stunning.

Just out of curiousity, while you were there, you didn't by any chance go near Derrynane at all and get any good photos did you? That area, especially the beach is one of my favourite places in Ireland.

Many thanks. No, but I intend to go down there again in the Spring and I will certainly check out Derrynane and surrounding areas.

*Everyone" should try to get to the Skellig. It is an incredible place.
