Depends on your stereo. Which stereo is it?

A line-in connection will usually be either a 3.5mm socket or two (red & white) composite sockets. Does it look like a 3.5mm connection?

You probably just want a 3.5mm jack to jack cable - which should cost you in the region of €5 or less in any decent audio/electrical store.
