    Who will win?

    Name Club Goals (matches left)
    Luca Toni Fiorentina 19(18)
    Samuel Eto`o Barcelona 18(19)
    Klaas Jan Huntelaar Heerenveen 17(15)
    Miroslav Klose Werder Bremen 16(17)
Ruud van Nistelrooy Man Utd 16(16ish)
    David Trezeguet Juventus 15(18)
Pedro Pauleta Paris Saint Germain 14 (14)
    Thierry Henry Arsenal 13(16ish)
    Frank Lampard Chelsea 13(16ish)
    Halil Altintop Kaiserslautern 13(17)
    David Villa Sanchez Valencia 12(19)
    Ronaldinho Barcelona 11(19)
    Adriano Internazionale 12(18)
    Alberto Gilardino Milan 12(18)

Dutch and french lads need to score a lot to equal any other leagues top scorer.

Cant find decent odds on all them anywhere but i would go with Rvn if Rooney stays fit.

Henry. missed 6 games yet still has 13 goals from 15 matchs.
If he keeps fit he will bag one or 2 more hat tricks.

My money would be on him too. Hopefully him and Arsenal will go into a good run of form now. They'd provide some top entertainment, like last week.

    Luca Toni.
Took him over a month to get from 16 to 17 and now he's looking like himself again he will bang them in like normal.

When was the last time an Italian scored 20+ goals in serie A, been a while probably Schilachi.
Found it Vieri(03) and then Signori in 95 , reckon this years winner will have 27.

I think it'll be Eto, with a close second from Van Nist.
Although I have 25 on Van Nist being top premiership scorer, which I got at 4/1, what great odds, and 25 on him being golden boot, which was 6/1, so I figure I'm set for profit at least in one of them, hopefully both

Etoo would win if he didnt have african nations duty, i say Toni

I'll give you a chance and buy them bets off you for a tenner PHB. Will be the only money you are gonna get on them this season. Henry now that he is settled will unfortunatley start banging em in and will easily pass out an Nist.

    Why?
Van Nist top scorer in the premiership and has beaten Henry before.
Van Nist will score more in the second half of the season, because United always do.
Henry won't beat van nist, and I'm so sure I have a bet on it :)

    p.s.
Is this calculated based on overall goals or league goals, I was fairly sure it was league goals but maybe i'm wrong.

It's based on league goals. I bags Toni to win it.

    em, what?
if your so sure henry is going to start 'banging them in' and score more than Ruud, it would be fairly stupid to put your tenner on Ruud then, wouldn't you say?

on topic, Ruud for top premiership scorer, Eto for golden boot..

Darren Bent could have a resurgence of form towards the end of the season

How are you feeling on that bet now PHB ? You nervous yet ? ATM Van nist has played in one more game than Henry and they are level on goals

Am I missing something? I thought Ruud and Henry had 19 league goals each. In the list it's 16 and 13.

That list was made in January.

nice going from that estonian dude :) if that dutch guy keeps banging them in, he could overtake toni yet though :)

    My money's on Samuel Eto'o.

It's destined to be his and Barcelona's year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

    I'm not feeling as good.
Unfortuantely United have nothing to play for this year, with second essentially sown up and the title race being just about out of reach.

With fergie thinking about only one thing, which is next season, he is trying to give Saha and Rossi(soon) as many games as possible, which means Ruud won't be playing as much.
Henry on the other hand is playing for staying at Arsenal, so I expect him to play every single game.

If they both played the same amount of games, it'd be fine, but if Fergie keeps up with this rotation, it's gona be tight.

Ruud however should end up on about 25 I feel.

Toni looks set to win the boot though
