    About PLAN A
Formed in late 1998 by ex-Wildheart Jef Streatfield, 'Plan A' was formed with the passion of your first ever band. Being part of a scene wasn't to be included in the job description, passion and sincerity was. Since late 2002, when they were reduced to a three-piece, they have released a new EP called 'Just Leaving Acton' (produced by Waynne Smart), written too many songs for an enormadome tour and honed the live set to a frantic mayhem of punked-up Rock 'n' Roll. This is now being thrust upon as many people as they can reach.

It is still very much 'Plan A'.

In 2001 they self released a 4 track EP 'Hey Ho!', produced by Paul Tippler – (Idlewild/Stereolab), and a long form video tour diary 'In Black and White' filmed by Danny Sheldon on tour with 'Grand Theft Audio'. This was also packaged with a free 7” white vinyl, the first studio recording with live sound engineer Waynne. These were, as there are now very few left, being sold at shows and selected independent record shops both in the UK and Japan, earning the band a steady fan base.

Previous to this in 2000 ‘Plan A’ were featured on a cover mounted CD in Metal Hammer using one of the first songs the band ever recorded with a previous drummer.

Having also gained a number of favourable reviews in various magazines throughout Europe, they set upon expanding their live audience playing with bands such as The Yo Yo's, Grand Theft Audio, Reel Big Fish and Mika Bomb and as many other excellent bands as possible.

Now they are more fired than ever, so watch this space...

    about The Dangerfields.

You know what I hate? Endless discussions about "what is punk?" Yawn-a-doodle-do. Stuff like that bores me, not just because it's obvious that anyone sitting around talking about that crap is about as punk as Busted, but because I already know what punk is. As does anyone who's ever seen, heard or smelt The Dangerfields, Belfast's premier hard-workin', hard-partyin', hard-lovin', chainsaw-wieldin', rock'n'rollin' mother****ers.

Forget trends. If you're looking for angst-ridden lyrics and post-this, post-that whatever-core, you've come to the wrong band. If you want a showcase of backpacks and beards, look elsewhere. If, however, you want a dirty dose of high voltage rock'n'roll delivered with a crushing blow to the cranium, then The Dangerfields are the band for you.

Not for nothing was the band personally selected by Iron Maiden legend Bruce Dickinson to open for Therapy? and Funeral For A Friend at his BBC 6 Music Rock Show extravaganza during Music Live in Belfast, May 2004. The hometown crowd duly screamed for them and Bruce was impressed enough to invite them into the studio for a full interview and album preview in November 2005.

Hammering out over 600 shows in under five years has helped the band shift 4,000 EPs and a mountain of t-shirts and commemorative tea-cosies while building up a rabid live fanbase. In fact, The Dangerfields have survived enough touring (and related disasters) to cripple a thousand poseur bands.

Formed in March 2000 from the ashes of quasi-legendary Belfast pop metallers Griswold, these melon-farmers sold their souls to the devil long ago. Founder member, drummer, vocalist, songwriter and professional wretch Andrew Griswold has poured his very lifeblood into this splendid vision of the ultimate rock'n'roll experience. Joined by screaming axe maniac Dan Bastard and thundering bass thing Ben Dür, the band has mutated from its primitive origins into a kick-ass killing machine with just one speed - faster than you.

With lyrics about girls, partying and horror movies and riffs straight from the bowels of Hell itself, the band straddles the not-so-fine line between full-on thrash metal and good old punk rock. "AC/DC meets the Ramones in a Belfast brawl", said one reviewer. "Slayer playing pop punk" said another. "The punk offspring of Nuclear Assault and Mötley Crüe" said the next. They were all right.

Across three self-financed, nightmare-infested Euro tours and countless jaunts around the toilets and concert halls of the UK and Ireland, The Dangerfields have held their own alongside Zeke, Nashville Pussy, Supersuckers, Speedealer, Electric Frankenstein, Flogging Molly, Misfits, Marky Ramone, Life Of Agony, Stiff Little Fingers, The Damned, The Exploited, Discharge, Destruction, D.R.I., Agnostic Front, 7 Seconds, Poison Idea, Hard-Ons, Groovie Ghoulies, The Queers, Chixdiggit!, Hanson Brothers, Capdown, Leatherface, Electric Eel Shock, Rockbitch and a legion more.

Look around any DFs show and you'll observe a motley collection of the unwashed, a cross-section of the free-thinking underground: punks, metallers, indie kids and even the odd emo kid with an uncharacteristically well-developed sense of humour. The Dangerfields don't chase trends - they play from their hearts to anyone who'll have them, anywhere that'll have them. Whether it's a handful of kids on a remote Scottish island or a sold out Camden Underworld, they are gig-hungry sluts who survive on an unsteady diet of Lidl crisps, MD 20/20 and diesel fumes.

Following hot on the heels of the multi-copper selling Hellride EP (1000 confirmed kills and counting) comes the debut album Born To Rock. This bad boy is unleashed on 23rd December 2005 and the world tour of anywhere there is fun to be had begins in January.

    The Dangerfields are comin', baby!
