Hellasat 39E would be the easiest for reception in Ireland.

I get a bunch of channels fine near Limerick on 80cm dish @ 39E

    The one below needs C-Band

    Localization: 13° East
    No, it's 78.5°e
    Herr Dish got mixed up.
The one below needs C-Band ... Frequency: 3551 MHz
    Obviously. ;)

Tomorrow I'll try my new LNBF on my CM dish
Any chance I can pick up the Intelsat 907 with 180cm?
    Never been on C-Band before.:o

No chance with I907 for that TP, it's footprint is over South America.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 301 ✭✭Smeagol

Stupid me, I just checked the footprint on lyngsat (also on Dr.Dish site)
Btw. what would be the easiest C-Band bird be to pick up here in nw ireland?
Is AB3 5°w a good bet to start with?

Analog + digital on 26E and you don't need a dielectric plate either as they are H/V.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 301 ✭✭Smeagol

I could have easily turned the Lnb, but Arabsat is even better.:)
Gotta leave. Will let you know how I was getting on.

First C-band test today. Great success. Started on analogue, very easy to locate Arabsat. Then digital. Next will be 1°w + 5°w.
    Thanks Zaphod.
