you are using the american locale.

    #hash is shift+3
    |pipe is ~
    ~ is `
    \ is #

there is no euro. the american locale, i find, is that bit better. you can get " with one hand, instead of two. i would use " more than @. a lot more, if you program stuff, or quote people alot. also, the single and double quotes are on the same key.

"control" panel >> keyboard. switch to irish.

    or something.

    Right I fixed mine,

went into the registery editior click Start - Run - & type Regedit32

Find : the registry key ‘HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ .DEFAULT\ Keyboard Layout\ Preload
    and change the value to
    00000809 English (UK)

    then restart!

    registry? man, overkill.

start, control panel(classic view), regional and language options, languages tab, details.

What sort of hands have you that you can't press shift+2 with one hand?!

shift + 2 gives you " with an irish, and GB (and possibly other) locales.

shift + ' gives you " instead of @ with american locale.

did you even read the previous posts?
