    Just wanted to know if there are any people from Swinford Mayo on this board, or if there is anyone from around there that could tell me whats it's like.
    Been asked by a friend to come and stay there for a few weeks, i never heard of the place, and dont know wheather to go or not, could anyone tell me what this place is like..Please...:)

    I'm not from Swinford, but I spent New Years '04 there, and had a deadly time, brilliant pub/hotel, can't remeber the name of it, but a young lad called Charlie runs it. Had the best breakfast of my life just up the road. Go, small town Ireland is good for a weekend of craic, just don't confuse it for paradise and move there!

    That's why I wanted to know from someone who lives there cause i'll be there for a good few weeks and i wanted to see what it was like from the point of view of someone who lives there or has lived there. Thanks for the input though. It was helpful:D
    Dont want to agree to go there then find out it's a complete kip, the people are unfriendly, nosey and uneducated.
